Financial Assistant

London (hybrid)

£25,000 - £32,000 (annum)


The Role:

You’ll be joining our Financial Director as the second member of the Finance Team. Your mission will be to help develop the structure of the business in order to increase our capacity as we grow the team at Few&Far.


What will you be doing?

  • Working with all ledgers. Examples of tasks include: Posting supplier invoices through Dext, supplier statement reconciliations, compiling payment runs, dealing with queries regarding PO numbers etc and the issuing of credit notes.
  • Weekly reconciliations of active contractors, ensure all admin is complete on the onboarding platform.
  • Credit control, enforcing Few&Far’s company terms, and reacting with appropriate parties to ensure timely settlement of debt.
  • Managing, posting and analysing expenses monthly and processing the monthly credit card statement.
  • Supporting the financial director with company budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Maintaining and developing our reporting processes.
  • Ensuring Few & Few remain IR35 compliant across all contracts.
  • Filing intermediary reports with HMRC quarterly, and all associated paperwork
  • Working with FD to ensure Cube19 reconciles with financial accounts.
  • Maintaining a high level of communication with our clients, contractors and internal consultants.
  • Handling placements via Bullhorn.
  • Supporting with ad-hoc projects, financial analysis and duties when required



Who are you?

  • A finance assistant with exposure to a private sector work environment, ideally within a relevant sector such as Recruitment, Sales, Marketing, Media etc
  • You have a minimum of 1+ years exposure to management accounts.
  • You’ll have excellent Microsoft Excel skills are essential.
  • You’ll have experience with Xero, Dext, Bullhorn and Cube19 is advantageous.
  • You’ll have knowledge of AWR, IR35 and temporary employment working practices or willingness to learn these.
  • You have the ability to work to strict deadlines and prioritise daily.
  • You have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • You’ll be extremely organisational with a high level of efficiency.
  • You have the ability to take the initiative to improve or even implement your own processes.
  • You are professional, discrete, and reliable.
