We have recently finished an MVP which consists of a RESTful API written in Python (Flask), and a frontend written in React, Typescript and SCSS.  The MVP itself is a set of automated workflows that allows our consultants to easily perform analysis on a given sector/company in a fraction of the time that it would take them to manually complete.  Although we have an established backend team of four developers, our frontend was written by an external agency.  We have now offboarded the agency, and we are looking at building an internal frontend team to take ownership of the platform.

The successful candidate for this role will be the first full-time frontend hire at Anmut.  They will be responsible for building on top of the existing frontend codebase, and leading the direction that the platform takes from a frontend perspective.  In the coming months, the frontend team will expand, and the successful candidate will be in charge of building and managing this expanding team, providing mentorship and guidance when needed.  They will be working closely with product managers and the backend team in order to continue developing the platform.

DETAILS ABOUT THE ROLE

  • They will be responsible for designing and building maintainable, scalable and modular frontend code as part of the Anmut platform.
  • They will own the front end of the Anmut platform and lead the direction that it takes.
  • They will build and manage a team of frontend developers and provide mentorship to them.
  • They will be responsible for maintaining a high standard for the frontend codebase.
  • They will collaborate effectively with backend developers when integrating with our RESTful API

You will have:

  • Professional hands on experience in building enterprise level frontends.
  • Experience with React.
  • Experience using Git.
  • Experience with Typescript.
  • Experience with responsive web design.
  • Understanding the fundamentals of big data environments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate and articulate the technical vision, and outcomes.
  • Ability to work effectively across a dynamic and expanding team.
